I was very pleased to get the chance to speak at the London Short Film Festival in January about a project I’m involved in, Yomeyat.  I’m working with three other audio producers to train Syrian refugees to keep audio diaries, which we will then edit and release as a series. The idea is to give listeners more of a sense of day to day life for refugees arriving in Europe, and to give the diarists a bit more control over the way their stories are reported.
