Illustrating Syria’s Civil War

This week’s episode of the Cultural Frontline (BBC World Service) features a piece I produced on American artist and journalist Molly Crabapple. Molly is currently collaborating with Syrian journalist Marwan Hisham on his graphic memoir, Brothers of the Gun. She talked to me about their first meeting, after months of collaborating via What’s App and Twitter; how they work together today, now that Marwan lives in Turkey; and the challenges of illustrating memories. Listen here.
